Summer 2025
JUBA STAR
If there’s one thing you can count on, its Juba Star making a run at the championship.
In each of the leagues first four season’s Juba Star has made an appearance in all four championship matches. To say they’re a perennial favorite is an understatement. Once again Juba did was Juba does. They tied All Black FC with 17 points during the regular session, earned a record of 6-1-2, and topped all teams with a GD of +26. With their sites set on making a four-peat appearance in the ship, Juba faced 3 seed Last Resort in their semi final match up. Taking it to the bitter end, the game was deadlocked at 1 goal a piece through regulation, then into overtime, and all the way to the final PK shot of the night when Juba finally put Last Resort away.
In the other bracket, 4 seed Young Gunz had an uphill battle vs 1 Seed All Black FC in semi final #1. In a back and forth match Young Gunz upset the top seed 3-2 to earn a shot at Juba Star under the lights in the championship match on Sunday August 10. After taking a 2-0 lead in the first half Juba saw their lead negated following two rebuttal goals by The Young Gunz in the second half. Once again Juba Star found themselves with their backs against the ropes heading into overtime.
Juba and The Young Gunz were deadlocked and dangerously close to going back to PK’s. But with 90 seconds left in a 15 minute OT Juba found a way to net the game winning goal and a chance to reclaim the trophy after a two year hiatus. Congrats to Juba Star on a hard fought 3-2 victory and another great season!

CRUSHERS
The Crushers are a perennial team of badasses in the league. They have a storied history and their blood runs orange. Always a top contender the Crushers spent the summer jockeying between first and second in the table and found a way to step up when it mattered most. Twice.
During regular session play the Crushers were the only team to beat top seeded Juba Star, and it seems they were able to crack the code when it mattered most. When the championship match rolled around the stage had been set. Both teams brought their A Squads and they went blow for blow. Crushers netted the first goal, only to see Juba tie the game late in the second half pushing the match to a golden goal overtime. In the absolute final seconds of the overtime period the Crushers found a way to squeak one more past the Juba Star back line to claim the 2-1 victory with less than 5 seconds left.

ALL BLACK FC
This session had it all. 8 teams battled weekly in highly contested, quality matches. The Crushers topped that table with 16 points, there was a three way tie for sportsmanship points between Route 7, Last Resort and MMU each earning 32, Juba Star earned the best Goal Differential and we welcomed 2 new teams to the league.
But it was the championship match that will be remembered for years to come. With a few hundred people in attendance, soccer fans witnessed it all. It was a back and forth battle between 4th seed All Black FC and the 2 seed, defending champions Juba Star. Earlier in the season Juba Star handed All Black a 5-0 beat down that arguably fueled the fire for this one. After trading goals throughout regulation time we saw PK’s awarded and denied by the keeper, as well as PK calls overturned that only heightened the drama. But in the end, deep into a 15 minute sudden death overtime, All Black FC netted a late goal past the Juba Star keeper to claim victory by a score of 3-2.
Congrats to All Black FC for a hard fought with and the opportunity to hoist the cup.

JUBA STAR
There is no doubt about it… Juba Star has it all. Talent, passion, intensity and skill. And those attributes were put on display all summer long.
Juba Star wrapped up the regular session in first place and then endured a nail biter in the semi finals, edging out RT 7 Utd 5-4 with a last minute goal to earn a spot in the finals vs 3rd place Last Resort who outshined the Crushers 4-1 in the semis.
After 90 minutes of full throttle soccer Juba Star topped Last Resort 5-2 in the championship match with a pair of goals compliments of Jamie Lashua.
Congrats to Juba Star for earning the first ever outdoor Elite 11 Cup.
